Have your driver take you to Matera and discover the famous site Sassi di Matera (in italian “Sassi” means “Stones”) which In 1993 have been declared by UNESCO a World Heritage. This human settlement has developed, starting in the Paleolithic, along the steep sides of a deep ravine worn by the Gravina Torrent. Walk trough narrow streets and tiny squares and then reach the Park of the Rupestrian Churches. After a stop for lunch, have your driver take you to Alberobello and walk trough The trulli houses, a traditional Apulian dry stone huts with a conical roof. This is sure to help you find your way around the city so you can return and enjoy each one at your own pace!
